what would an older lady be interested in online?

I'm teaching an older friend of mine to use the internet.. so far she has a good grasp of e-mail and the simple stuff..

Maybe she would like to do some shopping on line. Show her Ebay and how she can bid on items to buy. Or maybe she would be interested in selling on ebay.
Maybe she would just like to shop around at other stores on-line.

my pc works fine until i go on the internet , then my pc seems to " work overtime " and then freezes?

my laptop works fine until i go on the internet ( facebook games like farmtown, and other games sites even bingo) . as son as i try to go onto these sites my laptop seems to work too hard . when i look at task manager it says my cpu is 100 % and the service which is causing this is Internet explorer.i come out of these game sites and my laptop works fine again ,it also goes very slow and freezes a lot any suggestions please . i have scanned with windows defender and avg free and also cleared all my cookies and history ............

I suggest you run a scan with malwarebytes .

INSTALL IT TO YOUR DESKTOP, update it,
then run a full scan and remove everything it finds.

some viruses will try to disable it
so if malwarebytes will not start up
then go into the folder it is in and rename the mbam file to XXXX .exe
then double click on the file you just renamed to start it up.

after you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan.
to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.
