If an empolyee of a casino wins $5,000?
My boyfriend won $5,000 at his casino where he is empolyed an was empolyed at the time he won the money. They never gave him the 1099-G form to file for taxes and said they will not give him, proof of his wins or loses, is this leagel. 2 days later he won 13,000 at the bingo palace which is affilated with his place of empolyment, and they never gave him the 1099-G form either. What should we do? I don't understand why they won't give him this form? he lost most of the money back into the machines and they won't give him the stuff he needs to prove this to the IRS or who ever he needs to, Are they suposed to give you a copy of your proof of wins and loses? What should we do about this because they said they won't give it to him.
He never paid the taxes when he won the money, they never said he could either he won the money in Febuary of '06
The casino in NY state it is called Akwesasne Mohawk casino and they just passed a law last year that allows there empolyees to gamble
Sue the company. I would. I think that is illegal. Tell me how this ends!
