Activities for the elderly with alzheimer? please help?
i am asking in this section because they need smilple activites with smiple instructions...and a parent seems the best to ask
i work in a home for elderly with alzheimer. I work with 8 ladies who are in the beging stages so they are pretty with it... Today they have told me they are tired of playing bingo and doing coloring and word activites. i have searched the internet and have gotten no ideas...does anyone have any good actives ideas that i could do with them? every morning we do exercise and the rosary and after that i have the whole day to fill.They like doing hands on activities while listening to music if you have any ideas or actives please give details on how to do them and things i need to do them with. oh and any recomended websites... serious advice only please.... thank you

i can't take them off of the property...i cant keep my eye on 8 women who like to walk away and wander.(turn ur head for a sec. and they are gone)
You could try Paste Painting,This is where you add Children's Glue into the paint and they can use their hands,sponges,hand made cardboard combs, Making very simple Cards, using stamps,interesting,yet very cheap paper & cards that can be brought today,Have you tried Music and singing? and I found a Doctor online whom I thought I Bookedmarked,whom Specialises in this area,and has a programme to stimulate activities as well as their brain in many ways.I will try to re look him up for you.May I add you to my Friends list Please so I can Keep Helping You?
